Courses are run in the artist’s own studio and garden at the historic location of Battlebarrow House, a Victorian gothic residence built in the 19th century.  The garden of Battlebarrow House holds associations to the painter J M W Turner who sketched the view of the town from this location; and the children’s author and illustrator Beatrix Potter who was a regular visitor to the house (through her marriage to William Heelis whose family built the property).  Courses include relief and mono-print media (lino, collograph & drypoint); drawing and painting on subjects that include:  self-portraits, still-life and life-drawing; landscape, the natural world and patterns in nature.

Accommodation can also be provided for weekend workshops and summer schools.  For further information on prices and upcoming courses, please contact the artist using the contact form on this website
